February 2009

February 2nd Monday- Today I pulled Alex, Derek and David out of school and had Suzy watch Bri-we went to the Arizona Cardinals welcome home rally at the airport. We watched the team fly in (we were in the 4th row front :)) and Fitzgerald, Coach Wis, and Warner spoke it was sooo awesome to welcome them home! I just had to be there lol!

February 3rd Tuesday - Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary! I can't believe how fast these years have gone :) Love you Eric! xoxo
Bri goes to the eye doctor for her second exam. Thank goodness today he said they do not have to dialate her eyes they just have to do a check up. He said her eyes look great and Bri sat on my lap like such a big girl after almost an hour in the waiting room. He said though with Polyarticular we have to come back more often and keep a real good eye on her eyes.
Still on Naproxen twice a day.
February 4th Wednesday- Bri was sick today and real fussy so I took her to her pediatrician. She has fluid build up in her ear again! So they put her on Omnicet, which in a few days I did not like and it upset her stomach so back to amoxicilin.
FYI: Eric and I are still talking about what to do for Bri's other joints, but if we go the route with the Methotrexate, she cannot be sick, no fever of 100 or higher or is ill with anything more than a minor cold. So since she is on amoxicilin we cannot start that anyway if that's what we decide to do...which I think is where we are leaning. The injection of steroids again is painful for us to go through, but it also has no guarantee either so why put her and ourselves through that again??
February 12th Thursday- Bri all of a sudden started walking real funny again?? She is really limping on what seems to be both legs!
February 15th Sunday- Today she is still limping real bad as if she is trying to keep the pressure off of toes? Her left thumb seems to be bothering her today too, she can't bend it and it looks swollen, real swollen and very sensitive.
February 16th Monday- So tonight Eric called and said to have the kids and everyone come outside when he gets home. So when I got off the phone with him I said to everyone "Eric is up to something...I don't know what" so everyone started to try and guess what he was up to. Alyssa said he bought a trampoline, Derek and David said he bought new dirt bikes, and Alex and I were just stumped...well here's Eric and he brought us home a cute, cute bulldog!! Oh my gosh, we cried! She is so cute, 4 years old and her name is Cindy :)) She is so sweet and so mellow and loving to everyone! Thank you hon
February 18th Wednesday- Bri has been off the amoxicilin and we have made the decision to start the Methotrexate. She went to her Rheum today and her effected joints are: left thumb, left middle finger, right middle finger, left ankle, right ankle, left big toe, and left elbow. We are doing the Methotrexate!!
February 19th Thursday- Tonight Nana, Pa and Aunt Judy drove in from Colorado Springs for a few days! We are so excited for them to see all the kids! What a fun time we will have just relaxing and for them to enjoy the warm weather!
February 20th Friday- David is turning 8 tomorrow so tonight we had a bday party for him. His whole family came :0 including a surprise visit from his uncle Nader from Boston who was in the hospital with us during Davids birth :). Nana, Judy, Alex Bri and I went to Fountain Hills this weekend which was a blast and Pa took Derek and David to opening day for Spring Training at Peoria where they signed up for some amazing training with the players! Busy busy weekend :))
