Saturday May 2nd- Today is the walk at the Zoo! I'm not sure how many people were actually there for the walk...but it was crowded and we had the zoo all to ourselves! Bri had so many supporters! Thank you all for coming out with us! I tye dyed shirts for Alex, Alyssa, Derek, Bri and I in blue and purple! That was fun! Bri is just blossoming so much every day! We were at the lions den and she was up on the wall hanging onto the fence and when we were moving on she looked at me, Grandma & Papa and said "more" in sign language and she spoke and said "mo"! Yep I was a great mom and thought I'll teach my baby sign language and what did I do...I taught her "milk" and "more"! Oh well! So she kept signing more more more so Eric would put her back up to look at the lions! She was too cute! Her buddy Isiah from our moms group was there with his Mommy Sarah and her husband so that was alot of fun to see them! It was a great walk and it was Bri's first time at the zoo! She LOVED it! We didn't see the rhinos though and the elephant was so far away from us...oh well :). She was great though, running and just moving all around-again-such a great accomplishment! I think back to just November when she was scooting across the floor because she didn't want to walk...and now she is everywhere! And we are so incredibly thankful! She is talking alot! Her new thing is to tell the WHOLE story of what has happened! If she fell, or if someone did something, whatever it is Bri comes over to you and is very dramatic. She will show you how she fell, and she will say "boom and ish dat" and go on and on with such detail (even though you have no idea what she is saying LOL). And if someone doesnt play with her she will run over to me and "tell the story". I think she's going to be an actress haha! Judy!! :) May 6th 2009- I took Bri to the park again. But today was different! Usually I am right behind her making sure she gets up that step, doesn't fall across the bridges, doesn't fall down the slide instead of slide, and makes it up and down the stairs, doesn't get hurt when she is grasping for a pole to pull herself up(because she would hit her fingers on the railings and cry)! Well...she took off running into the park-up the stairs across the bridge down the slide, up the stairs again! I was crying but this time with JOY! When you have a child that wants to run and play so bad and can't...you cherish the moments they can! Sometimes people take for granted the easy things in life-not me-not any more! She has opened up our eyes! When she goes down the slide and runs into the grass I just look at her and smile from ear to ear! I took about 5 videos with my camera it was hilarious! But I didn't have to help her...not once and when I tried she said "I do"!! YAY I text Eric cuz I would of burst into tears if I called him haha! Now everything is "I do". Like Eric said a few nights ago "she's like a normal two year old now" well...almost two :). So we will not get discouraged, I am trying to do more and more research! I actually took Bri to the Chiropractor with me and he felt her spine, and her neck and her C1 (cervical neck vertebrae called the atlas,is directly under her skull) which effects the immune response was completely out of place and to one side. So he asked if he could "adjust her" I said sure! Hmm??? We are so happy though she is just thriving and talking alot and dancing again, singing, running, bossy and just all around doing wonderful!
