Day of Injections at Childrens Hospital

So today is the day! Eric and I have to bring Bri to the hospital at 8AM. We get Bri checked in and the nurse gave Bri a cute cow stuffed animal to play with. She loves to throw things so she was throwing it all over, and since she wasn't walking to well Eric and I would get it for her, she would laugh and throw it again it was so cute! We are both very nervous though...our baby girl!!! We get called into the room by another nurse and she has a huge bucket of stuffed animals beanie babies to choose from. So let me go back a day...my dad said to me "Stacey-bri sure is a little tiger isn't she?" I said of course "ya dad she sure is she is being so strong through this and she has found her way's to sit down without bending her legs, crawl on the floor, scoot on her bum...". So Bri reaches into the bucket and what does she pull out of this but a cute little tiger! Of course I cried...love ya Dad:). So we changed Bri into her hospital gown and they had the cutest little playroom so Eric and I sat on the cars with Bri and raced around! Just kidding, we put Bri on the little cars, played until they called us back. They told us that we would have to hold Bri and they would put the gas mask on her and she will dose off. So Eric was just faint...he's a very strong guy and this was just so hard to watch. He decided to hold Bri and the doctor said that Bri will not like the mask and cry but the more she cries and screams the more she'll inhale and she'll be fine. Of course for him she will be he does this all day...hello we're the parents! This is hard to do! So Eric holds her, he's about to faint from the smell of the gas, and from watching Bri. She doses off...and I just had to leave the room. COFFEE... so about mmm 20-30 minutes later Dr. Ede comes out and said that it was very successful. He drained fluid from her left knee and there was no fluid in the right drained. He said she would be groggy for the day and to just kit. She was groggy alright, she didn't want a thing to do with her car seat though and she only wanted daddy! So I drove home and Eric stayed in the backseat with Bri. We made it home and Eric went to work, and I just held Bri as she slept. When she woke up it was later in the evening and she was cranky. So she would nod off again. So when she awoke around 8ish I put her down on the carpet next to the fridge and walked to the living room. Bri stood up and literally RAN to me!!!! I couldn't believe it! She had the BIGGEST smile on her face and again...I cried!! Oh my gosh is this real???? I called Eric and said Bri has a surprise for you when you get home! We were so happy! Those injections worked and they worked IMMEDIATELY! We are soooo happy and so is Bri she was smiling and laughing...but still a little groggy :)))))
